Role Title:
Business Development Manager
Location:
Bay Area (Hybrid; anticipate spending 75% of time in the field to meet potential partners and referral sources, generate inquiries, and convert leads into clients) - includes Alameda, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara counties
About Us:
At Sage Eldercare Solutions, we are dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults by providing exceptional care and quality of life. As a leader in the eldercare industry since 2001, we offer a range of services including therapeutic activities, home care, and care management, supported by a committed team of nurses, social workers, gerontologists, art and music therapists, CNAs and home care managers.
Role Overview:
As our first full-time Business Development Manager, you will work closely with our leadership team to develop and implement strategic business development plans; but you won’t be working alone! Dozens of team members actively nurture relationships with referral leaders in our communities today. Your role will be to build on those relationships - to expand awareness and interest in our therapeutic activities, home care and care management services. You will have responsibilities as an individual contributor and also as a member of our leadership team, helping us hone our message and lead-to-conversion process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Contribute to the leadership team by shaping the business development strategy and mentoring team members to enhance their sales and relationship-building skills.
- Business Development: Develop and execute strategies to build awareness and generate leads for our eldercare services. Engage with potential referral sources, community leaders, and partners to expand our network and client base.
- Client Acquisition: Manage the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to client onboarding. Utilize CRM systems to track interactions, manage leads, and optimize follow-up processes to ensure successful conversions.
- Referral-Based Relationships: Cultivate and maintain consultative, referral-based relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in the eldercare industry. Demonstrate a deep understanding of client needs and effectively communicate the value of our services.
- Metrics and Reporting: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success. Provide regular reports on business development activities, outcomes, and strategic insights to the leadership team.
- Professional Presence: Represent Sage Eldercare Solutions with a high level of professionalism and credibility. Effectively communicate our mission, services, and value proposition to potential clients, partners, and referral sources.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in business development, sales, or a related role, ideally within the eldercare or healthcare industry. Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and developing strategic partnerships.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Social Work, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in eldercare or healthcare management are a plus.
- CRM Proficiency: Experience with Customer Resource Management systems to manage client interactions, track sales processes, and analyze data to drive business decisions.
- Referral-Based Relationships: Proven ability to build and maintain consultative, referral-based relationships with healthcare professionals, community leaders, and potential clients.
- Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of eldercare services, including home care, therapeutic activities, and care management. Familiarity with the Bay Area’s healthcare landscape and referral networks is preferred.
